David A. Wah, Ph.D. - Principal Investigator

Dr. Wah received his B.A. from Oberlin College and his Ph.D. from Columbia University, where he studied structures of protein-DNA complexes using x-ray crystallography with Aneel Aggarwal. This work was followed by crystallographic studies of protein-carbohydrate interactions in the lab of Antonio Romero at the Centro de Investigaciones Biologicas in Madrid, Spain. Dr. Wah went on to do postdoctoral work with Robert Sauer at MIT, where he extended his training to include biophysical methods, investigating substrate recognition by energy-dependent proteases and their adaptors.
